Agriquant is a research-driven startup developing the first algorithmic risk and decision platform for agriculture in Uruguay and LATAM.
Uruguay's agri-food sector generates billions in export value each year (beef, dairy, rice alone exceeded US$3.5B in 2023). Yet production and margins are highly exposed to weather, input-cost, and FX shocks. The 2022–23 drought brought rainfall ~47% below normal and caused ~US$1.8B in direct losses. Input prices and currencies also move sharply, affecting sowing, feeding, logistics and hedging decisions.
Our mission is to make risk intelligence for agriculture systematic and democratized, and to establish a transparent standard in the industry for data-conscious decision-making.
